Hugo Trumpy was a key player in a major logistics operation at the Port of La Spezia, working in close collaboration with LSCT (La Spezia Container Terminal), Impreport, and the customs agency Saimare. The technically complex operation involved the loading of the Nuvola Rossa (I-CFAJ) helicopter onto the cargo vessel BBC Virginia, along with a container, two yachts loaded on deck, and over 3,100 tons of steel pipes.
The technical and operational coordination was managed by the LSCT team, with Hugo Trumpy at the forefront in handling international shipping logistics and strategic planning. Due to the delicate nature and high value of the cargo, special care was required throughout the stowage process to ensure both safety and efficiency.
“The contribution of all the partners involved, including Hugo Trumpy, was essential to the success of the operation,” stated Alessandro Pellegri, LSCT Terminal Operations Manager.
Nuvola Rossa is the third helicopter from the Italian Fire Department to pass through the Port of La Spezia for inspection and overhaul procedures, following Geronimo (2020) and Toro Seduto (2022), once again confirming the strategic importance of the Ligurian port and the expertise of its logistics partners.
